Weddings at Mélange -- Ambience Included

Established in 1996; Mélange, French for a collection or a blend of things of different kinds, is a Bed and Breakfast modeled after elegant European boutique hotels. Secluded behind towering hemlock hedges and century-old trees, the nationally recognized historic home features classically landscaped gardens and festive party facilities, which result in unparalleled privacy and romantic ambience.

There are a variety of venues from which to choose that will accommodate parties of two to two hundred for the exchange of vows. Outdoor sites for the ceremony and reception reflect our fervor for natural beauty and detail to transpire light hearted nostalgia. A reception will follow under a covered and fully equipped pavilion. Indoor events are highlighted by the eclectic décor of the historic home: marble floors and fireplaces, gilded mirrors, antique lamps, and oriental carpets. Just imagine the wedding pictures!

Serving with quality linens, bone china service, and fine silverware are equally important to us as our passion for food and exquisite presentations. We will be happy to host a rehearsal dinner or a brunch for your party, coordinate your nuptials for you, manage guest activities, and put you in contact with recommended vendors of entertainment, floral arrangements, photography, and officiating.

If your wedding is on a weekend and your guest size is thirty or above, you will have exclusive use of the premises and facilities for two days. Your bridal party in turn will enjoy the upscale accommodations in four guestrooms and a suite with two bedrooms.

For the guests of destination weddings, the inn is conveniently located within 30 minutes to Asheville, Blue Ridge Parkway, Biltmore Estate, Chimney Rock and Du Pont State Forest and within walking distance to antiques and restaurants in charming historic Hendersonville.
